Elder Iopu

Oh my gosh! So I totally forgot to post about this.  So, last year when I got baptized, one of the missionaries that taught me was from Samoa...Elder Iopu..I had posted about him already in one of my other posts...but I got to see him again! He was actually the one that baptized me and he got transferred right after I got baptized.  He is a really sweet guy and is so great! He went home last Wednesday and I got to go see him before he left.

He called me a few weeks ago while I was at the movies and he left me a voicemail and I was so surprised to hear from him! He wanted me to come to his last testimony meeting.  So, I went to this meeting and it was fantastic! It was a testimony meeting for the district he was in and they were all going home.  There were 14 missionaries, all men except one sister missionary couple, and then the mission president also spoke because he was leaving as well.  Elder Iopu was so cute and he shared such a great experience about his time here in Utah.  He really is such a great guy and I wish him the best.  We got to chat for a little bit after the meeting was over and then we had to sadly say goodbye.  It was funny because I was getting his contact info so we could stay in touch, and this other lady that got baptized by him came up to us and then started asking me if I was single and when I said I was, she said "Perfect! You guys (Elder Iopu and I) can get married now!" I chuckled and poor Elder Iopu just blushed.  It was hilarious!

I will miss him very much and hopefully one day I get to see him.  It would be so cool to go to Samoa and just swim in the ocean and enjoy the island.  I feel like it is just a little paradise.  Here is a pic from when I saw him!

Summer is here!

Summer is here!! I am so happy I can't even contain myself.  Seriously.  I. Love. Summer.  Except for the fact that it is so hot my face melts when I leave any air conditioned building.  Buuut...I have already had so much fun! So last week, it was my roommate Tawna's birthday and we celebrated for a full 2 weeks.  Yes, 2 weeks.  Since it is summer there are so many fun things to do and we couldn't pass it up!
So our friends Emily and Kate from our ward are from Wyoming (as is Tawna) and they are going out there for a month or so, so they had to have dinner for Tawna before they left.  We had so much fun with them! They are super open with us about so much and we have gotten really close with them.  We went to this place called The Pizza Pie Cafe in Provo and it was great! They have gluten free pizza which is so great and it actually tastes really good.  If anyone is out in the area, you should go there.  Then we went to their house for cake and we took some fun "Akward Family Photos".  I don't have a copy of them but when I do I will have to put them online so you can see them because they are hilarious!

I got to cross off an item from my bucket list!!! Two of them actually!! I hadn't posted this one yet, but I went to the rodeo and that same day we had gone to Deer Creek Reservoir and I was able to cross off swimming in a lake! It was so fun! I got a little burnt but it was worth it.  We got to ride on jet skis and just have a good time enjoying the lake.  I put a few pics up of those down below.

We are going to California next weekend and I will be able to cross off a few of my bucket list items there as well hopefully.

Cheers to the summer!!

Bucket list

So, like I had mentioned in my past post, I have bucket list of things I want to do by the end of this year.  I am going to try to accomplish all of them.  I really want to have a great summer and finish out this year in a great way.  Here are a few things I would like to accomplish by the end of the year.  I'll start out with 5 because I'm lazy and don't feel like posting a bunch yet, haha.

1. There's a sign in American Fork...a traffic sign that says DIP..but somebody put stickers on it so it now says SEREN - DIP- ITY.  I want to take a picture with it.  I know, stupid, but I want a picture with it.

2. Hike Mount Timpanogos.  This will be a first for me...hopefully it's not in the snow.  I am definitely going to try for the summer.

   3. Swim in a lake, river, or ocean.

4. Go to the beach.

5. Go to a Real Salt Lake Game again.

There are a few.  There are plenty more but I want to do these 5 for sure and will definitely try and post more on here again.  Maybe you can help!

Also, I'm going to write about this because one day, if anything were to ever happen I would love to tell the stories of my life to people who I truly love.

I am going on a mission, but I sure have met some great guys lately.  There is one in particular that is such a great friend and influence.  Sometimes it makes me sad that I don't have more people like this in my life.  But there is a friend I have that is a great guy and I hope that one day I meet someone like him that treats me like a princess.  Yes, I said it, I want to be treated like a princess because I that's my dream, haha.  I know, maybe unrealistic, but that is what I want.  Anyway, he is nice, spiritual, caring, makes me smile, hardworking, smart, helpful and cute.  He is a great guy and I hope that he finds a great girl to make him happy one day.  He really is a great friend.  I like him a lot and sometimes it makes me sad that timing makes such a big difference in our lives. And I can't lie to myself, I kind of have a crush on him.  But, although things won't work out how I want them to, I can still have him as a friend and I am grateful for that. He is great.  That is all.

Tootles!
