Catching up...

Whoo! It's been a little while since I had a post..so here's what's been going on!
First...continuing with the 5k's...not me but Amy and Sarah ran a Halloween 5k where people dressed up. It was so fun to see some of the costumes people had on in the freezing cold and some that they couldn't really run in but made it through with! There were some traffic cones which I have a picture of, but then there were some like the Burger King guy, Tinkerbell and Peter Pan, nerdy nerds, mummies, and some other fun ones, but here are some pics from that:

Then, I went to Mexico in November for 2 weeks with my cousin Itzel. Our mom's are sisters and we just stayed with our grandma from their side. We weren't able to take too many pictures from the trip but here is one from when we were on the plan and just a few other ones of us with some cousins...

For Thanksgiving..before all the turkey and pumpkin pie eating, Sarah, Amy, Amy's sister Emily, Wendy and I, ran a 5k called the Turkey Trot in American Fork. It was sooooo cold!!! But we did what we could and I finished it..which I am very surprised of! haha

My parents and brothers are spending the holidays in Mexico. So since I spent Christmas with my aunts and uncles and had so much fun when we went sledding Christmas day! I tried to snowboard for the first time and it hurts to fall so bad! But...on Christmas Eve we just hung out and watched a movie together, ate, then played mexican bingo, ate and then ate some more! hahaha

Well I hope everyone had an amazing and Merry Christmas! I hope we all have an awesome New Year and get ready for those New Year's resolutions because the new decade is already here!!! wow time goes by fast! Happy New Year to all!!

What a week!!

So, I had some adventures this past week or so that I wanted to share...I'll go in chronological order. Here we go!


First, I made this awesome pumpkin cake for the girls in my office. I watch these shows on TLC called Cake Boss and Ultimate Cake Off that I am obsessed with and totally make me want to be a pastry chef..so I try out my skills every once in a while. Pretty much anyone could make this pumpkin shaped cake but I felt pretty good about it, and the girls from work liked how it looked and how it tasted...it was pumpkin spice with cream cheese frosting and crushed oreos as the dirt around the pumpkin in the pumpkin patch! lol

On 10/17/09 3 of my friends from work ran a 10k..yeah 10 amazing k's! They have all been training for this for a while and they all did AMAZING!!! They are my heroes for being so disciplined to do this kind of running and they all beat their goal times! Congrats to Sarah, Amy and Wendy for doing an awesome job!!!

That same Saturday we went out for Sarah's birthday which was actually the Sunday before. We went out to dinner in Salt Lake and then went to Nightmare on 13th St. haunted house...but before all this happened Jessica and I decided to do each other's hair lol. She did my hair black and we left some blonde pieces I had and bleached them a little blonder...Thanks Jess I LOVE how it turned out!!! Here's a pic of her doing my hair...She even did foils!!!

It was my first time going to a haunted house EVER and the group we went with had some fun making fun of how scared I was to go through it. I HATE HATE HATE scary movies and anything that will scare me at all...I hate that feeling, but for Sarah's b-day I did it and came out alive! I will post more hilarious stories when I get those pictures..it was so much fun and I think I could go back again hahaha.

Last but definately not least....so this just happened to me today. I had started this fast yesterday at 12:30 p.m. because it kind of gets rid of the bad stuff in your body and makes you aware of what kind of bad stuff you eat and helps make you more concious of what you eat. So I had fasted since then and then went to my workout class this morning...without eating. Yeah, big mistake. I felt like puking close to the end and then ended up passing out. I was so embarassed!!! They called 911 because they thought I had a seizure, but fortunately I hadn't. It was just a severe fainting spell and me being dehydrated. But since we thought I had a seizure I had to go to the hospital to make sure all was well. I pretty much got lectured by both my dad and the doctor for not eating and never in my life will I go without eating! lol..I learned my lesson! But everything is well, my blood labs and EKG came out perfectly fine and apparently I am as healthy as can be! So note to everyone...DON'T go without eating if you are going to be squating 40 pound weights in each hand and doing dead man lifts...learn from my mistakes!!! Here's a pic my mom took of me in the hospital. Wow...what a doofus! lol

Summer 09 update!

Yeah, yeah, I haven't updated my blog in months but I didn't feel like anyone else wanted to see these pictures besides the people that already saw them...well my friend Jessica said who cares post them anyways. So I'm going to! lol So here's just some things that I did during this summer.
I don't have pics of everything so here's just some things I accomplished and had fun with!
-moved out finally!! (I think I already posted that lol)
-went to the Pleasant Grove Rodeo for the 1st time
-went to the Lehi Rodeo for the 3rd year and loved!!
-Ran 2...yes 2 5k's and loved it even though they almost killed me!!
-completed 2 months of boot camp at Rage Fitness and still going with the progressive fitness class...I've lost 14 inches!!!
-my awesome friend Jessica got married and me and Amy and Kim threw her a bridal shower...I even made her that cake!
-and a bunch of other random stuff...but I don't have pictures because I'm a doofus and dropped my camera in the water so it doesn't work anymore :( so you'll have to live with what i've got until I get a new one! I hope I'm not too, too boring and thanks for looking at my blog!

And I'm sorry if my blogging skills suck...obviously I just don't do it enough! lol

Update!

Ok so I'm really sorry I haven't posted anything for a while, but unfortunately my camera fell in the water:( yeah long story lol, and I'm one of those people that is visual so I have to have pictures. Plus, my computer got a virus and I just got it fixed so there's problem number two. Yeah, pretty much there was a week where it was lame and everything that could go wrong did! Ok, not everything but pretty close haha. Ok, so here are some of the things that have happened in the past month or so please don't get bored with the superlong post.....

JAZZ GAME!!! I went to the Jazz vs. Lakers Playoffs game on 4/23/09. This is the first Jazz game I'd ever been to and only the second basketball game I've ever been to in my life, yeah I'm weird :P But it was so frickin awesome!!! Even though me and Manny were rooting for the Lakers (don't shoot me!! lol), we still had fun and it was a really good game! I found out player number 18 on the Lakers is named Sasha Vujacic, yeah my name is awesome! haha The Jazz won by 2 points and exiting the Energy Solutions Arena was hilarious! People kept telling us that the Lakers sucked haha, and asking us where Kobe Bryant was. Some people are so crazy!! There was even some guy that had a tattoo of the Jazz logo on his bum!! I didn't get a picture of that obviously but it was funny hahaha. Well, here are some pictures of the players and Manny with his Lakers shirt on in the middle of Jazz hysteria and yes, the Jazz fans ARE the loudest fans ever!

Then...the next event was when my family all went to Thanksgiving Point Gardens for lunch and the unfortunate event of my camera falling in the water occured :(...Well, it still kindof works but my pics are all fuzzy. So here are the pictures that my cousin took of me. He wants to be a photographer and took a bunch of pics of me to put a portfolio together for school. There's some pics of some awesome geese we saw and then there's the pic of where the camera fell into the water...sigh. He's only 14 but I think he did a pretty good job...ok except for the first picture of the tulips I took that one...and the one of the geese! lol. But here are the pics and yeah, yeah, they're a little cheesy but hey, he's only 14 and I'm not a model so cut us some slack! lol jk...hope you have fun looking at them!!

Ok, so the most recent thing to happen is that I moved out!!! I've been wanting to move out for like over 3 years now and unfortunately it hadn't worked out before. I now live in Lehi even though at first I was really reluctant to move far from Orem...lol it's only like 20 minutes tops, but it was still a change. At first I was kind of freaked out that I was going to be living pretty much alone...my roomate works nights 3-4 nights a week and the other days she is asleep or I am at work so I don't see much of her. So I did take some pictures but as we know my camera fell in the water at Thanksgiving Point so the pictures are fuzzy. I will post new ones when the condo is all decorated so these are just temporary. Well...enjoy the fuzzy pictures but thanks for checkin out the blog and sorry for this superlong post!!! I promise I won't take so much time in between posts next time!!
